The Lawrence boy’s basketball team ended the season with a record of 4 and 6 for the A team and 2 and 2 for the B team.  The girl’s team ended 9 and 1 for the season.

Mr. Oliver, the basketball boys team coach, stated at the start of the year that this year he had so far seen a great deal of improvement in their second game.   At the start of the season, Mr. Oliver stated, “I see our boys team as a very athletic team, with a lot of raw talent and ability.”

This season was the second year both teams had with their new uniforms. The old uniforms were worn out and damaged. The uniforms were so old they were beginning to fall apart!

The Falmouth Police Department was a huge help in raising the money for the new uniforms. They donated $410.  Falmouth Police Officer Harris said they would do anything to have a positive impact on kids’ lives.

Falmouth Police Officer Harris overheard Lawrence PE Teacher Mrs. Bosselman at Falmouth Sports Exchange explaining the terrible conditions of the uniforms. When he heard her, he knew he wanted to help. Mr. Harris used to be the president of Pop Warner Football. He also coached seventh and eighth grade basketball.

Basketball wasn’t the only sport the Police Department donated to. They also donated $500 to Falmouth Hockey Program.

Part of the money for new uniforms was raised through the CSL Dodgeball tournament that happens in the spring.

We would like to thank all participants of the Dodgeball tournaments and the town of Falmouth, their taxes and donations have brought us new uniforms! A special thanks to Officer Harris and the Falmouth Police Department for their generous donation.
