Want to see a great movie that is a biography, drama, and musical all in one?  Then watch The Greatest Showman…..

Did you know that seven of the leading and supporting actors have been on broadway before acting in The Greatest Showman?  The movie, The Greatest Showman, tells the story of the rise of one man’s idea and how it grew into a home and family for people who were discriminated against in the 1850’s and 60’s.  By the inspiration of P.T. Barnum, people realized that we are all equal.

This movie tells a story of a vision that came true from hard work and precision. P.T. Barnum rises above his childhood, and uses his determined mindset to make his dreams come true.  It left you at the edge of your seat, while watching the fortune of the circus and the Barnum family after a tragedy. In the movie, unique people were put on stage, and at first the public isn’t sure about it.  They then see beyond their differences, and love them and the show.

The director was Michael Gracey and it took 84 million dollars to make the movie, though with a total earned of $256 million earned, the movie was a success. This movie is 1 hour and 45 minutes long and the talented writers are Jenny Bicks and Bill Condon.  The Greatest Showman was rated 5 out of 5 stars, and the age rating is fit well at PG.

The stars, Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, and Zendaya all play roles of those who help the circus dream come true.  All of the actors are true to their characters and play their parts well. Many do stunts and other acts that are risky, but look fearless for the camera.

In my opinion, The Greatest Showman was an excellent movie.  I thought this was a 5 out of 5 star movie. Out of just over 22 thousand votes, on www.rottentomatoes.com, 88 percent of people liked this movie.  The storyline is easy to follow though the complexity of the scenes leaves you intrigued.  In my opinion, The Greatest Showman is a great movie to leave you with knowledge and passion for the circus!
